Today's post is a handful of screenshots from my latest video Autumn Lookbook ft SHOWPO. SHOWPO were lovely enough to let me pick out some of these pieces, and I decided to make a complete lookbook out of them.

I tried to alternate the styling so that everyone would have an outfit they'd like - so hopefully it worked lol.

Sorry for the recent hiatus - I have been in Christchurch, New Zealand for the past 8 days.
I should be getting back into the swing of blogging, but for now I figured I'd share some of the shots I got on my trip.

But I'll say this now - I did not expect Christchurch to be the way it was. Sure, I was aware of the earthquakes that hit in 2011, but the idea of devastation and destruction still remaining never cross my mind. So in saying that, some of the images I took did shake me up quite a bit, so before continuing don't expect to see green fields and beautiful lakes - because I didn't.

This first shot is of the Christchurch Cathedral. Before arriving, I knew this structure had quite a lot of damage, but it isn't really put into perspective until you compare the before and after.


This was a multi-storey hotel.


Shipping containers are used to hold the remaining walls of heritage buildings - they have sat stagnant like this for three years.


In fact, they have even made a little shopping hub out of shipping containers for the meanwhile!


185 white individual chairs for each of the 185 victims to the collapse of the CTV Building, as well as the rest of the destruction.


The next day, we visited the beautiful Akaroa - a small historic French and British settlement.


Next, I saw the town of Sumner. Now again - I didn't expect it to look this way. The stories I had heard about this town was that it was quaint, laid-back and a rather pleasant place to spend the weekends. The first shot really explains what it is now - one side, beautiful waters... the other side, life-threatening cliffs.



I also managed to get some footage of damaged suburbs - and this really surprised me. The one I remember the name of is Burwood, if that means anything to you. They literally had to pick up and leave these homes, and some even appeared to be totally fine from the outside. Here are just a few photos of the homes.

So over the past couple of weeks I've picked up a few things that caught my eye. They're not necessarily things that I needed, but I found some pretty good deals so I figured I'd share them with you guys.

First up: Citybeach!
Citybeach's online store is a goldmine of cheap goodies - there's ALWAYS a sale on, and for some reason a lot of the items are cheaper than they are online (?!). So, in saying that, make sure you look online first before buying in store ;).




From Coles, I finally decided to try out the Olay Regenerist Cleansing System. I've had this on my list to try for a few weeks now, because the price is such a steal - but I was a little apprehensive to try it. At only $30, it is a QUARTER of the price of something along the likes of a Clarisonic - and that's a huge difference! Keeping in mind that there is only one colour and just a few brush heads available to this system, I figured it was worth giving a go for the savings. After two weeks of use, I'm definitely loving it! It's very gentle to the skin and so easy to use. So far - I'm stoked with it.


From Kmart, I picked up some cheap goodies, like nail polish for $2 and $3, and a tangle teaser dupe for $4! I also grabbed a new brush holder, but it is actually a candle holder - pretty neat idea on getting cute, good-sized brush holders.
